Roles & access

Managing Telegram bots requires permission. There's a dedicated role so you can give a teammate access to the Telegram section and nothing else.

Who can manage Telegram bots

A user can use the whole Telegram section if they have either:

  • the Telegram Manager role, or
  • a broad admin role with Entities Administration (e.g. a super-admin).

Without one of these, the Telegram item doesn't appear in the sidebar and the screens aren't reachable.

Give someone access

  1. Go to Users and open the teammate's profile.
  2. In Roles, add Telegram Manager.
  3. Save.

They'll see the Telegram section on their next visit (a refresh may be needed).

Least privilege

Assign only the Telegram Manager role to someone who should manage bots but not the rest of the platform — they'll see the Telegram section and nothing more.

What the role can do

The Telegram Manager role covers the full feature: create and register bots, manage the link library, build commands and menus, upload banners, and view subscribers and analytics. Super-admins (Entities Administration) can do all of this too.
